How to use it:
The homepage of your own Wikispaces is a static page that can give you an overview of the whole content. A short text or a short list can present the further contents. All words can be tagged (linked), but also the search field at the navigation bar could be used to find deeper information, which you have prepared before. After basic planning (topic, content) you can start writing the homepage and link to another not even or already existing site at your wiki, or another wiki, a website etc.
Examples of use:
Creating learning Materials • Involve class: Teacher could create a text and ask pupils to support the content with videos and pictures. Thus, learning materials will be adapted according to the needs/wishes of students. It is expected that those materials are close to their “world”. • Participation of class by joint creation of learning materials– everybody is an author. The advantage is that the teacher can edit and/or correct texts and ensures that pupils do have appropriate learning materials. • Peer learning: Students help students by editing and correcting the joint text.
Although all tools are easy to use, mind planning. It is important to keep a clear structure, in order to prevent confusion of participants.
